Okies Cryst , to add the above photo do the following:
Click on 'Profile' at the top any page in this forum
Put a 'tick' in the 'I have my own pic' box (about half way down the profile page)
Immediatly to the right of the 'tick' u have placed is an oblong box , copy and paste the following address in there : sc.groups.msn.com/tn/BE/81/MSNBeginners/7d/bad.jpg
Now scroll to thebottom of the page and click 'change profile'
hope that helps

thanks once again box and Im learning something new everyday. But I'd like to know where you got the code thing from for me to copy and paste. (stupid question cos I ought to read the instructions more carefully)
Im going to be really cheeky and ask you "how do I get the flashed up name that you've got" I know its somewhere in the forum but the instructions look like theyre in another language (either that or Im stupid )

hey Cryst....
firstly , u get the code or url by right clicking a piccy (try it on your pic in here and u'll see what i mean) and clicking on 'properties' that appears at the bottom of that pop up box.
In the box that opens u will see 'address (url)' , that is the bit u need to copy n paste.
flashy name ? i am guessing u mean the banner at the bottom of all my messages saying box cleva ?
If that is the case , go to flamingtext.com and create one (free) , then u have to save it to your pc.
U then have to upload that pic somewhere , i.e Msn Beginners Comm , then right click the image as u did b4 and get the url from properties.
Then click on profile in here again and go down to the signature box. type in [ img] then the copy and pasted url here then [/img] , so it may look something like this [ img]http://groups.msnbeginners.com/blah[/img] Then click on change profile and ure sorted. tc Box p.s heres a simple banner created in ten seconds on flaming texts website:

Hey Merlin try hosting the pic on angelfire and not on msn group as u are doing at the moment . I have had it before when a pic is a certain size , the msn groups auto resizes it . Upload it to the angelfire account u use for your siggy pic and try that

You just add the appropriate bit to your signature in your profile. So for example, if you've got an image that you want to add it's:
[ img]{link to webhost where pic is stored}[ /img]
Or you could just add the text like "Merry christmas, even though Christmas is 2 weeks away still". Something like that.

Merls, To get something along the lines of what I now have (and will have for the next few weeks) in my signature, I used the following code: [/Move ] Obviously without all the spaces before the "]" Change the "http://members.aol.com/tony4inone/TonyBar.gif" to "http://www.angelfire.com/scifi2/crystalmerlin/coollogo_com_27585202.gif" and the words "Festive Greetings to one and all" to your choice of festive (or not) message. So you would end up with:

I think that particular image would look better if it was flipped so the sled was facing west and then you could have it moving across the bottom of the page. All you have to do is open the image in a basic editing package (e.g. Microsoft photo edito) and flip the orientation, then upload it to your webhost.
