Right firstly i plugged the microphones in they didnt need installing i set them up by the audio and tuning wizard and it all all worked fine but still not getting anywere when i try to connect in msn messenger it dosnt connect and no sound is omitted threw the headphones tho when i try in windows messenger i can here the other party but they cannot here me the connection just dosnt seem to be established i have tryed many ways to correct this and am running short of ideas if you can help it would be gratefully appreciated ;D

okies this isnt a prob Blue that i've had , but if u can give me the make / model of headphone-mic kit u are using and your OS (operating system) i'll look into it straight away

sorry about that box .. blonde moment .lol having a few of them lately the make of the mic headphones is galaxy and the person who im party has labtec ones and we are both running windows xp home opss they are called galaxy hp-318 ty for all help ;D

p.s , doh@me , sorry , just read ure first post again , u said u can hear peeps but they cant hear you ..... u do have mic plug plugged into right hole at back of pooter dont ya ?

thats ok box it also gives peeps the incentive to ask for more help with there pcs .. and not be scared to ask for help when they need it

I ran a check on me pc to see if the microphone was working ...they are plugged in the right sockets everything is working fine on my pc the failure happens when we try to connect both pc s together to converse with the use of microphones

Okies , if anyone else is having these probs , it was Firewall related. And after having to listen to Blues geordie - scouse mixed accent her mic is deffo working! . If u have Zone Alarm , check firewall settings , custom , and then see what is blocked.

box thanx for yr help with the mic problems ;D also while on the subject i aint a scouse come geordie so derrr and hope the dogs didnt hurt you when they jumped in yr lap thanx again jim i'll fix it
